An accreditation evaluation was conducted at the UMP Gambang Library by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The accreditation review was done on April 21, 2022, for the Foundation in Science and Technology programme.

The evaluation done on the Centre for Diploma and Foundation Studies was the purpose of accreditation certification. Thus, a visit to the library is one of the evaluation requirements aimed to evaluate the facilities and services offered to library users, particularly students for the audited programme.

This accreditation assessment visit was led by three panellists; Dr. Sahubar Ali Mohamed Nadhar Khan from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Puan Asmayati Yahaya from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) and Pn. Laily Kamariah Mohd Jamil, a representor from Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The evaluation visit started at 2.30 pm with a presentation on the services given to library patrons by Mr. Ahmad Nurudin Abd. Nasir, Senior Librarian of the Marketing Section. The panel was given an overview of the services available via the library portal.

Next, the panel was briefed on the library's collection by Puan Sharifah Nazirah Syed Omar, Librarian of the Education & Research Section. The panel also was briefed on the UMP Library’s search platform for printed and electronic collections. Aside from that, panellists were also informed about library services' requests to obtain material from inter branch loan (PASIR) and inter library loan (ILL).

Overall, the audit visit this time went smoothly. Thank you to all of the library personnel who participated in the evaluation.
