Library regulations were formed to ensure the whole operations of the library are in order and to established safer space among the users. Violation of any of the rules stated below may result in the user being penalised under the Peraturan Tatatertib Am, Larangan Am Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA).
- Registered users must always present their UMPSA matric card or public membership card when entering or while in the library. Matric card/membership card are non-transferable.
- The library should be notified right away of lost matric card or public membership card. Users are totally liable for any misuse of the lost card by third-party.
- All items to be checked out must be done through the self-check book kiosk or service counter.
- The library officers will and shall inspect bags or items brought in to and out of the Library, as and when required.
- Users are not allowed to bring in food or beverages (other than mineral water).
- Bags or any personal items brought in are of users own responsibility. While, helmets, raincoat or umbrellas are to be left outside before entering the library.
- All user must comply with the dress code as stated by the Board of University.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited in the University.
- Photocopying is allowed but users are fully responsible for any actions that violates the Copyright Act.
- Do not move an equipment or furniture from its designated place. Seat reservation is not allowed and all users are allowed to use any vacant seat available.
- The library staffs will remind users and take appropriate actions against any users violating the rules.
- The library has the authority to request patrons who are acting disruptively to leave the premise.
- Children are not allowed to enter the reading room without adult supervision.
- All borrowed materials must be returned by academic staff members before they go for study leave or sabbatical, both domestically and internationally.
- All borrowed materials must be returned, and any fines incurred by students who postponed, withdraw, quit or graduate must be paid and cleared before leaving.
- Final year exam transcripts will be withheld if the students fail to return borrowed materials before graduating or pay fines.
- Mobile phones should be placed in silent mode and its usage should not disturb other users.
- The library has the authority to occasionally add and modify its regulations.
