User Education Classes: Library Introduction Session And Material Search Basic (15 - 17 August 2022)

In order to effectively support lessons and learning for new students, the UMP Library held user education classes on 15, 16 and 17 August 2022. The program held online through the Microsoft Teams channel focused on all new students of the August entry diploma to introduce the service and facilities provided in the library. The three-day program was run by the Education & Research Unit Librarian, Mdm. Afffida Abu Bakar and Assistant Librarian, Ms. Rosfadilla Mohamad Zainun.
The objectives of the class are as follows:
a) Introduction of services, facilities & collection of reference materials in the library.
b) Introduces the basic techniques of finding material on eFind.
c) Introduce and help students explore the library's digital & electronic resources (access from inside & outside campus).
The introduction to the library and the basics of searching was interspersed with a question and answer session from the participants and ended with a simple quiz to test the participants' understanding of the topics shared. It is hoped that all participants will gain valuable information and knowledge after attending this session which will be applied in future assignments.
