On Friday, September 17th, 2021, UMP Library was invited by UMP Advanced to share information on library services. This sharing session took place over the internet using the Zoom platform. The session started at 10.00 am with almost 120 participants consisting of students under the UMP Advanced Professional Program.

Mrs. Azurah from UMP Advanced started off the session. She expressed her appreciation for the presence of all those who took part in this session. Mrs. Affida Abu Bakar, a representative from the library, continued the talk by explaining more about the library's services. Participants were shown how to use the library portal to find more about the facilities, services, and collections. During this session, the focus will be on the library collection. Participants are shown a variety of collections that they can use as a reference during the learning process.

In addition, participants were also given instructions on how to use open access to find reference materials. Participants can have free access to items including e-books, e-journals, magazine articles, and theses without having to log into the library's system. A list of open access links is also provided to participants and can be obtained on the library portal (https://umplibrary.ump.edu.my/index.php/en/ecollection/eresource/open-access). Participants were also given guidance to use search techniques that could help them to find materials relevant to their field.

After the question-and-answer period, the briefing session finished at 11.30 a.m. The library hopes that all participants will be able to use the information, and the knowledge is well received. Hopefully it will be able to help them throughout their studies at UMP. Congratulations to the participants who took the time to attend this session even though some were working.
