On 9th December 2021 at 10.00 am, a Library Introduction and Library Online Catalogue (eFind) Class was held through the Google Meet application. The aim of this class is to expose the library users on what type of library services, facilities, and resources available in the Library Universiti Malaysia Pahang. The target groups for this class are new staff, new students, and new intake students (First Semester Diploma or Bachelor students).

The session was successfully conducted by Ms. Nurulaida Abdul Shukor, the assistant librarian from the Education and Research Section, and was attended by a total of 28 participants. A lot of information regarding library services has been shared throughout the session included on how to make book loans, returns and renewal of book loan periods. Apart from that, participants were also briefed on the Inter Library Loan (ILL), Inter Branch Loan (Pekan and Gambang Campus) and Ask A Librarian/Live Chat.

In addition, the participants were shown the facilities available in the library for instance, the auditorium, seminar room, discussion room, computer lab and the media room. Furthermore, participants were also familiarized with the material search tools available in libraries like EzProxy, eFind, UMP-IR, eColLIB and e-Exam.

Through this user education class, it is hoped that the participants will maximize the use of the collection, services, and facilities that have been provided.
